Aim of the funding programme:

Funding is available for investments to save energy and increase efficiency in public buildings and infrastructure owned by the public sector or non-profit organisations that serve the common good.

Eligible buildings and facilities include:

• Kindergartens, schools (incl. sports facilities)
• Sports centres and swimming pools for public use
• Museums, libraries, cultural centres, theatres, concert halls, monuments
• adult education centres
• administrative buildings

What is subsidised?

Objects of funding according to the guidelines and funding principles

Eligible measures:

1. Energy efficiency measures on the building:
   Improvements to the façade, roof, windows, doors, heating, cooling, etc.
2. Technical improvements:
   Replacement of inefficient systems, installation of heat recovery, process optimisation.

Combinable additional measures::

1. Renewable energy generation on site:
   Photovoltaics, heat pumps for own consumption
   
   
2. Energy storage systems:
   Storage for at least 75 % renewable energy from the site
   
   
3. Connection to district heating or cooling systems:
   Connection to efficient grids
   
   
4. Digitalisation of the building:
   Cabling for smart building control and broadband utilisation
   
   
5. Additional ecological measures:
   Green roofs, rainwater utilisation on the building.

Who is subsidised?

Eligible applicants under the directive are:

• Local authorities
• Municipal special-purpose associations that are subject to municipal supervision
• Legal entities under public law, etc. (see call for funding)
• Recognised providers of independent youth welfare services as owners of the property of the child day care facility, providers of schools under municipal sponsorship in the state of Saxony-Anhalt and providers of schools under independent sponsorship that receive financial aid for school locations in Saxony-Anhalt in accordance with Section 18 (1) and (2) of the School Act of the State of Saxony-Anhalt (SchulG LSA)
• Sponsors of adult education institutions recognised under the Saxony-Anhalt Adult Education Act (EBG LSA)

Eligible applicants within the funding principles are:

• Institutions recognised by the state of Saxony-Anhalt

Funding conditions:

• Projects are selected on the basis of the following selection criteria::
• Integration of the building into the applicant's climate and utilisation strategy
• Percentage final energy saving
• Funding efficiency
• Use of renewable energies or nature-based solutions

Amount of funding:

A total amount of 88.927.412 € is available

Applications can be submitted from now until june 30, 2027

Sachsen-Anhalt STROMSPEICHER

Aim of the funding programme:

The Saxony-Anhalt Electricity Storage programme supports investments in the storage of electricity from renewable energy sources in companies and municipalities. The purpose of the funding is to promote investments in the storage of electricity from renewable sources. The aim of the funding is to integrate this electricity into the electricity system in this way and thereby achieve a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.

Type of funding:

Non-repayable grant in the amount of

• 50% for small companies
• 40% for medium-sized companies
• 30% for large companies and legal entities under public law

What is subsidised?

Funding is available for investments in stationary, electrochemical energy storage systems (electricity storage systems) with a storage capacity of more than 30 kilowatt hours for electricity generated from renewable sources, including the necessary battery management system and the storage inverter

• Investments in fixed assets
• Planning services (max. 20% of total expenditure)

Who is subsidised?

• Private and public companies
• Other legal entities

Funding conditions:

The eligibility requirements are set out in the directive on the granting of subsidies to promote measures for the storage of electricity generated from renewable sources in companies.

The project selection is based on:

• The project’s contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions
• Funding efficiency
• Business classification and company size
• Renewable energy, sustainability, environmental protection

What to keep in mind:

• At least 30 kWh of storage capacity
• The electricity storage system must be connected to a renewable energy generation facility and derive at least 75% of its energy from it

Amount of funding:

A total amount of 11 million euros is available for approval under this funding call.

Applications can be submitted from now until november 29, 2024

What is subsidised?

Funding is available for investment measures that lead to savings in greenhouse gas emissions through both energy efficiency measures and energy-saving measures. Eligible measures are

• Investments in fixed assets
  Expenditure on ancillary costs (e.g. planning costs)
  Building-related individual measures to improve energy efficiency (e.g. on the façade, roof, windows, doors, gates, heating, cooling)
  Non-building-related individual measures to improve energy efficiency, such as
• • the replacement of inefficient technical systems and units
  • the installation of systems for heat recovery and waste heat utilisation
  • Measures for energy-related process optimisation

Note: It is not possible to subsidise energy generation systems (e.g. photovoltaic systems) and storage systems alone.

Who is subsidised?

• small and medium-sized companies
• large companies

Funding conditions:

• A comprehensive expert analysis of the existing energy-saving potential in the company is required for the funding of a project.
• The applicant must provide evidence of an energy audit or energy management system.
• This audit or system must be carried out by a suitable person whose suitability is demonstrated by entry in the public list of energy auditors of the Federal Office of Economics and
• Export Control (BAFA) or proof of corresponding qualifications.
• The funding is mainly aimed at energy-saving measures.
• Additional projects such as energy storage or renewable energy generation can only be subsidised on a supplementary basis.
• The subsidised projects must be implemented in the federal state of Saxony-Anhalt.
• Companies can combine building-related energy efficiency measures with investments in systems for generating electricity, heat or cooling from renewable energy sources as part of the funding programme.
• Supported installations include, for example, photovoltaic systems and heat pumps.
• Energy storage systems, charging infrastructures and connections to district heating networks are also eligible for funding.

Amount of funding:

The necessary funds are provided by the Ministry of Energy from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
The total funding amount is 42 million euros

• up to 50 per cent for small businesses
• up to 35 per cent for medium-sized companies
• up to 20 per cent for large companies

The maximum amount is one million euros.

Duration of the programme:

Applications can be submitted from now until 30 June 2027.
