Electricity prices fluctuate constantly due to the interplay of supply and demand on energy exchanges. For instance, when a lot of green energy is generated due to abundant sunshine or strong winds (high supply), prices fall. Electricity can also be cheaper at night or during times of lower demand. The TESVOLT EMS allows these price fluctuations to be utilised for optimising consumer usage and battery charging by shifting to cheaper time slots. The system continuously analyses current and forecasted prices to optimise energy consumption efficiently and save costs.
Fluctuating electricity prices can thus be used optimally, and external consumers such as charging stations or heat pumps can be intelligently controlled. At the same time, the use of renewable energy is maximised. The TESVOLT EMS controls both consumption and the charging process in real-time, based on price fluctuations and forecasted tariff data. This increases energy efficiency and minimises grid procurement costs – for more sustainable and efficient energy use.
We’re here to help – and provide comprehensive advice.
Instead of charging the electric car immediately upon returning home, the TESVOLT EMS automatically detects times when electricity prices are particularly low, such as at night. The charging of the wallbox is then automatically shifted to these times, significantly reducing electricity costs. This not only saves money but also shifts power consumption to times of lower grid load – an efficient and environmentally friendly solution.
